"You have to want to learn this, Wendy," Professor La Duke said, her voice now firm but not unkind. "This isn't just about passing a test; it's about understanding the human body and how it works. If you can't see the importance of that, then I'm afraid I can't help you."
With those words, the professor turned her back on Wendy and walked away, leaving the young woman alone with her thoughts and her failed test.
